Enel Innovation Hub – Update
As you surely (!) remember, last March I had written a post – actually two, one in the News section and one in the Life section – about the launch of the Enel Innovation Hub right in my open space here in Berkeley. For those who do not know it, Enel is the main Italian player in the electricity sector. The purpose of this center, I remind, is to work as an incubator and to promote innovative startups. As you can read on their website, Enel has three other centers like this one around the world (in Madrid, Moscow, and Tel Aviv) and naturally the Silicon Valley could not be missing.
Now, in the past months I had not have any news about it, but some days ago I found a “surprise”: the following sign appeared in correspondence of one of my open space’s offices.
Actually I have not seen anyone around so far. I can argue that the real activities will begin only in 2018, i.e. exactly when I will be back home. It is quite a pity: it would have been interesting to be in direct touch with this center and maybe some nice opportunities could have arised.
Never mind, though: this means that if I have a one-billion dollar idea, I will directly go to the Enel headquarters in Milan. After all, they are very close to my office at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei, obviously 🙂
