First (real) day of school

Finally I can start working in a real office! My department is officially the ERG – Energy & Resources Group, however my office is located in the RAEL – Renewable & Appropriate Energy Laboratory, which is directly managed by my Supervisor, Prof. Kammen. RAEL shares a wide open space with other research centers working in the climate and energy fields. The location is colorful, young, informal and multicultural, just as one could expect. There is a bike park, too! Above all, there is a perfectly warm temperature 🙂 I know, fierce A/C will come, but I enjoy the moment eheh! Bottom line, it really seems a very nice place to work in.

P.S. I’m not posting many photos for the moment, but it has basically been raining for a week, despite the famous California sun! A bit ironic, but apparently the locals are happy, because – as I have been told – the last winters had been characterized by drought, with negative consequences for the rest of the year. Eventually it’s all OK like this, then.
