IEW – Gothenburg
This week I participated in the 37th International Energy Workshop (IEW), organized by the Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. As I specified in the post dedicated to the 2017 edition, the IEW is focused on energy and it is essentially the most relevant conference for my work over the year.
Last year I gave a presentation on the solar PV learning activity, while this year I wanted to present my work on system integration, storage, and grid. Indeed when I sent the abstract, almost five months ago, I thought that by this time the activity would be completed. The computational issues that I had in the following months (and that I discussed in this post), however, prevented me from completing the analysis on the mutual role of storage and grid as complements or substitutes for the renewable penetration, so eventually I just described how the new modeling scheme works. I will discuss the full topic in the next conferences.
You can find the presentation here.
