Following up my previous post, here’s an interesting article about the America First Energy Plan.

A passage of the article (“Simeone says the main reason coal-fired power plants around the country are switching to natural gas is because it’s cheaper”) indeed reminds me a research work by Prof. Lincoln Pratson from Duke University who actually claims the contrary, i.e. that the competitiveness of coal plants compared with gas plants is more affected by environmental constraints than by economic performance: a more-in-depth analysis could be interesting in this regard.
