Source: US power grid passes a test as eclipse reduces solar generation – Financial Times

So apparently everything went well with the solar eclipse (see my previous post): the plans prepared by the grid operators were effective and people could enjoy the show without any power outages or similar problems.

By the way, the article that I posted reports an insightful chart: it gives a very clear idea of the extent of the issue that especially California had to face.
